Urban Link is a social impact endeavor that connects landlords with entrepreneurs and SME’s (Small, & Medium Enterprises) by applying the sharing economy concept within the traditional retail industry in Colombia. By helping a landlord rent a commercial space (i.e. store, restaurant, food truck, store-within-store, shelf, wall) to a brand trying to showcase their products/services, Urban Link breaks down one of the main barriers that entrepreneurs and SME´s face in accessing the market: initial capital requirements. On the other hand, landlords and owners of commercial space benefit by creating income on otherwise unproductive assets; some rent is better than no rent.

The way it works is by offering two types of spaces:

1. A whole storefront/restaurant/food truck or space

2. A store-within-store / restaurant-within-restaurant, boutiques. Share spaces.

We want to be the link with anyone with a space to fill, or an idea in need of one. We want all types of ideas (traditional and disruptive) to all types of spaces (traditional and disruptive).

The main drivers are: brand experience, touch and feel, low- cost, increase foot traffic, collaborative consumption, low risk and high impact, short-term agreement. We will work to: engage customers offline, generate brand awareness, unload old inventory, and help the companies go to where their customers are.
